I really am trying to take time to make tutorials.
But now I’ve made snowballs.. (Is it really called that in English?) With blue stuffing. :)

Hello there, darlings! Now, you may have noticed a sudden influx in my posting. Well, that is because I’m back to tumblr and the webbernets! And trust me, I’ve missed you all dearly.

But now, as a celebration of my return, and in honor of the grand reopening of my Etsy, Eveningtide’s Alchemy Shop, I’m doing a giveaway for all you lovelies!

First there are the boots- and oh, what boots they are. Three inch platforms, seventeen inches high, women’s size nine or ten. They have laces all up the front and a zipper up the side. Boots similar to these go for quite a pretty penny, so you don’t want to miss out on this deal.

Next, there is the vampire doll. He’s adorable, or course, but he also drinks blood. Honest. He’s about ten inches tall, all told, and is nice and cuddly.

Finally, there’s the Nightmare Before Christmas tophat. I haven’t got any fancy links for it, so here. It’s eight inches tall, fifteen inches in diameter. It’s got skulls in abundance and stripes and everything you love about Tim Burton.

So it’s going to go down like this: On April 1st, I’ll announce the first place winner, who will get their choice of prize. The second place winner will be announced on the second, and the third on the third. All the winners will be picked via a random number generator. Sound good?

Now, all you have to do is reblog to your black weasly guts’ content (likes don’t count!), follow me, and keep your inbox open. Best of luck!

Thought I’d share this. :)

You should read the whole thing, but the most important part is this: “and the world might be a better place if we were all a bit more like the kooky and spooky Addams family.”

From the way posts go on this site in regards to TV’s favorite ‘creepy’ family, one might think users here just want to be Angelica Houston or Christina Ricci. As silly as it sounds, it goes a lot deeper than that for me.
See, there’s this episode where a young motorcyclist crashes into their front lawn. He’s a biker-kid through and through, leather jacket, sixties “beat-style” lingo, greased back hair. Instead of reacting to him the way most would, the Addams embrace him, they find him cultured, a “true individual” as Morticia says. In the episode, you find out that the kid is on the run from his father, who refuses to accept him, wants him to be more like other members of society.
Near the end, he has a confrontation with his dad, “You hated me for me being who I was, and the Addams might be a little strange, but they love me for who I am. As far as I’m concerned, the only freak is you.”
It’s a strangely powerful moment for such a silly show, and it doesn’t just leave you. It reminds you why you really care about this family, why you come to love them despite the sit-com nature of their antics. They’re everything you want in a family. They love for people’s differences, not in spite of them, the stranger the better. They don’t believe in violence, but are always up for a good fencing match.
They’re so perfect in fact, that it makes you sad to realize people like that only exist in television. But it brings you a smile that at least they exist somewhere, and the world might be a better place if we were all a bit more like the kooky and spooky Addam’s family.

Wow :D

Guess what happened today! :D

I was out buying stuff in a fabric store with my husband, when I felt someone was looking at me and I looked up… A woman was standing on the other side of the shop-rack and she asked… “don’t you have a blog?” and I answered “yes” … and then she asked if I was Parnuuna, and she recognized both me and my husband. :D weee! I should work some more - shouldn’t I? XD

Well, I am coming up with great ideas now - I’ve just bought pearls and feathers! I’m thinking I’m going to make some pretty extravagant neck accessories and hair thingies… and hopefully I’ll do a good job and teach you too! :D

Anyway - have a great weekend!

Starting my course on Monday! :D

Wee, I’ll be starting my course on Monday, where I’ll learn to use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for clothing design purposes! :D I’m really looking forward to spend 5 weeks learning!

I’m pretty sure I’ll be using ALL my upcoming skills on Bemygoth, yeah! XD

Hope you’re having a nice weekend! I am - cooked delicious foods, and relaxed AAAALL day. It was nice. I should do that more often…. but also work sometimes.. :)

Anyway.

Have a nice end of the weekend.

KISSES!

Back from the doctor

I’m back from the doctor, and there was nothing wrong with me - I am just in the low end pulse-wise (can I say that?), so I just have to make sure not to get low blood sugar (is it called that?), especially when I plan to go walking or otherwise excersise. So, I’m alright physically. I just need to work on my head, and my thoughts. :) Kind of a relief!

So today is relaxing day! And tomorrow is tomorrow! I will not make any plans! :D

Hope you’re enjoying your Monday!

kisses

Oh, the irony of life…
Once I finally have the time to start working on the wonderful project of BeMyGoth, I get sick. Hopefully it’s something temporary.
I had an anxiety attack yesterday, which freaked me out a bit, so I called the doctor today, and got an appointment later today. I have an unnaturally low pulse rate, so I’m getting my heart checked today. I really hope there’s nothing wrong, but I’m quite nervous.
Well - I think it might be because I’ve been too stressed since I started on my exams, and I never really got over it, because I had tons of ambitions when I finished school - too many ambitions. So I think I might have mentally overworked myself, which lead to this awful anxiety attack yesterday.
But I still have many plans, which involves learning to relax, and think of other things than work! So I’ll try to start out slow with the tutorials, when I have the mental capacity. Oh, I’ve been so eager to start, because I haven’t made a tutorial in like 6 months or something… But it’ll come! :)
But I’ll start by prioritizing my health, and hopefully you’ll be patient. :)
I’m sewing myself a new wardrobe, and I’ll post pictures on this blog! So you’re always welcome to comment on the pieces, and if there’s great interest, I could do tutorials and patterns on those in the future.
I’m also planning to write a book - because I have this wonderful publisher that I know, who’d like to play along with my ideas, yay! But it’ll be in danish to begin with - if it catches “on fire”, I might have it translated to english. :D
But first things first! I’ll be taking care of myself, and try to relax - and I’ll post updates here - it’s the least I can do. And I do enjoy blogging, so “stay tuned” ;)
Hope you had a nice weekend.

ps. I just added a picture from my little trip to Copenhagen Fashion week… haha, ducks and swans in a lake at night. (the camera was hand held, so it’s a bit shaky)

Exams over :)

Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t write this sooner, I guess I was so thrilled about being in the real world, that I forgot. XD

BUT! I got three 12’s in my grades at the exam! Which is the highest you can get, so I scored top grades, wee!

I’m am now waiting to take a computer/Adobe course in mid-March for 5 weeks, and then I’m off school (forever…. or untill the next interesting course ;))! And hopefully I’ll be spamming (not really) you with everything I’ve got! :P

I must admit, it’s a bit hard getting back on track, when I haven’t made a tutorial or written a newsletter for about 6 months. Hopefully it’ll come naturally after a little while.

Is there anything you’d like a tutorial on?
